    Goodbye limp!

John, a 1-year-old Pit Bull, was adopted by his Mom at 4 months old from the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society. He was a happy and healthy boy until a few months after his adoption when his Mom noticed that he had developed a limp and was avoiding all use of his back right leg. It was discovered that John had a luxating patella. The grant John received from Bow Wow Buddies Foundation allowed him to get the surgery he desperately needed and he has now returned to being a happy pup who enjoys going for walks and playing fetch.

“When we learned that we had been accepted for Foundation grant we were blown away. It was definitely a shock to us but most of all we were so relieved. It took so much pressure off of me to know that John could have the surgery that he so needed.” - Sarah McAlee (John’s Mom)
