Young Tallulah was picked up by Wild Canine Rescue and found to have severe heartworm disease, she was emaciated, and had a badly broken leg that was also infected as the bone pierced through her skin. She needed heartworm treatment, a special diet to slowly and safely gain weight, and surgery to amputate her leg as it could not be repaired. She came through her surgery well and is adapting to being a tri-pod, and the rescue says she is the friendliest, goofiest, girl. Soon she’ll be able to find her new home!
