A good citizen brought Nelson, his dad, and sibling to Tennessee Dachshund Rescue after finding the three pups fending for themselves after being abandon in rural Arkansas. The rescue was able to nurse the pups back to health although they found Nelson had step fracture of the spine that could have been the result from being hit by a car. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation provided a medical grant in support of Nelson getting his needed surgery to be able to walk on all four legs again!
