Coal was picked up by Animal Services with an open fracture on his leg,
nerve damage on his other leg, he was unable to walk, tested positive
for heartworms and no microchip. He was then brought to Saving our Companions.
Coal had surgery to repair his fracture and was given antibiotics for
his open wound infection and will need a 2nd surgery to amputate his other
leg, PT and neutered. He is in a foster home now. With the support of
Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, Coal received a grant to help pay for the
surgery. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is happy to be able to assist
dogs and their families who are going through difficult times.
