Barney, a 4 year old Shepherd Mix, was rescued from a high-kill shelter by the Friends of Linden Animal Shelter. The rescue was not aware that Barney had a torn ACL when they took him, so he was in a holding pattern, awaiting a foster and funds for surgery before he could find a home. In the meantime, he was put on pain medication to help keep him comfortable. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation provided a grant so Barney could have his surgery and begin looking for his fur-ever home.

Says Randy DeFazio, “The Camp Bow Wow Bridgewater team is so happy to know that the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is there to help support the local rescue community that is so important to us. We are thrilled that Barney will have a chance at a healthy and happy life!”
